Mireille Darc (born Mireille Aigroz in 1938 in Toulon, Var) was an actress, former lover of Alain Delon, whom she met in 1969, during the shooting of Jeff by Jean Herman. She studied at the Conservatoire d'art dramatique of Toulon, won the first prize and decided to become an actress. She made her debut in Paris, in 1959, as a model, before acting, first on TV. In 1961 she met the famous director Georges Lautner, who made her a star. She has since then been appearing in many movies and in TV series and remains one of the most famous and beloved French actresses. She has also sung occasionally and made a few EPs.
